The Conductive and Stretchy Horseguard Bi-Polar gate kit #BP12
It is 10ft of extendable tape attached and squeezed in a new gate handle concept.
We have created a Bi-Polar gate kit that fully respects the bi-polarity of the tape and conducts the electric current
from one side to the other of the gate.
No more need to dig a trench under the gate and run two high-tension cables through a garden hose!
No more spring needed in the gate handle. All the spring you need is now in the tape.
The circuit is closed when you hook the handle to the lugs of the tensioner #9bl at the gate post.
Our insulator tightens the tape without damaging it.
To resist perfectly to the mecanical friction due to the force of the winds the
electric tape must absolutly be blocked into insulators, firmly squeezed
between the rounded edges that will protect the stainless steel threads from
being damaged after a few months...
The design of the #8 was inspired by the tuning peg that tightens the strings on a
violin….
The HorseGuard new insulator #8 is easy and fast to install: Just turn the 2 pegs
and the tape will be secured into place.
Be aware of some insulators designs that can pinch the tape and cut it over time and
your horses will know before you that the "zapping" has become very weak!
The #8 insulator adapts itself to a variety of fence post type ...
Attach it on a T-Post with wire, or straps, straps also for a pipe post.
Thanks to the precut holes at each end, the #8 slides onto 1/2 inch round fiberglass stakes.
For the nostalgic ones. we have kept the classic #8N.
