#E2 and #E3 Chargers Description

They are intelligent machines endowed with an incredibly safe "3 shock system" or "5 shock system" that will allow you to save money and conserve electricity while being more effective!

So what puts the #E2 and #E3 head and shoulders above other fence chargers?

It's safer:
• The #E2 "3 shock system" and #E3 "5 shock system" limits the number of shocks released at one time. Unlike other fence chargers, which emit continual electrical impulses, the #E2's and the #E3's revolutionary new system gives off three(E2) or five shocks(E3) and then stops.
  
  If an animal or human becomes entangled with the fence and cannot break free it will not have to undergo repeated electrical shocks until help can come.

It's a money saver and an energy conserver:
• · The #E2 and the #E3 system work only when it has to. Instead of giving off continuous shocks it builds up and stores three powerful shocks of 1 joule Each or 5 powerful shocks of 5 Joules each. Then the #E2 or #E3 lays in wait until something important (horse, branch or tree) comes into contact with the fence. This allows you to save money and to conserve energy.
• • The two lantern batteries that operate the #E2 can last up 2 to 3 months instead of only few days they would last in other fence chargers.

It's more effective:
• · The #E2 and #E3 system is endowed with a "brain" that controls the "3or 5 shock system." Developed with the help of Jack Reeves, the New Zealander who invented the famous "low impedance" fence charger system in the 1960s, this "brain" calculates the new resistance of a fence when something important (horse, branch or tree) continues touching it after the release of the three stored shocks. The #E2 or E3 then builds up three or five new impulses and lies in wait again. If something reacts to the first shock by moving away from the fence, the #E2 or E3 knows to build up a new shock.

  • If a branch comes into contact the fence charger will only let off three of five shocks and then it will stop. No electricity is wasted and the circuit is not disturbed or weakened.
    
    The brain of #E2 or #E3 controls the fence permanently and is not affected by the slow growing of the weeds

It's portable and secure:
• · The #E2 or #E3 weighs only 5.5 lbs and is protected by a unique anti-theft chain system. You can easily create your own paddock while on the road. Or for added security at home you can padlock the small device to a fence-post or a tree.

  • When traveling you can easily take with you enough HorseGuard tape to make a small paddock. (see our new portable pen page 16 & 17 of the new 2001 Fencing Manual) The #E2 or #E3 allows you to electrify the paddock and gives you the same sense of security that you have at home.
