How to use the "Coleman" stripper/crimper tool.
Crimper tool #CRIMP59 |
You need a Vise-Grip pliers, a hammer and a wood block .
Starter Kit #SK59
Insert the end of the cable into the round cable stripper opening.
Close the two sides of the crimper with the Vise-Grip pliers. |
Hit the crimper with a hammer against a wood block until both
sides of the crimper meet. Pull off the cable insulation that has
been cut. |
Fold the exposed wire strands over the cable insulation and insert the terminal over them. |
Set the terminal into the hexagonal form on the crimper, put the top and hit it HARD with the hammer! |
The terminal is now hexagonal, you have done it like a pro! Now you can do all your jumpers the size you need !
To make this crimper even more handy we have designed two
extra hexagon shaped openings. The larger hexagon openings
can be used to tighten our lag bolts used in items #36W and #45V.
The smaller opening can be used for the screw bit that is included
with our #8X screws. Please note lag bolts and the screw bit
are NOT included with the #CRIMP59 crimper tool and #SK59
crimper kit. |
