Horseguard Mat 4 stall mats are formed to a minimum practical thicknessof 7/8’’ to stop this over spreading. They have a rough top surface on one side to help horses obtain a grip when they get up.
In their first year they will grow lightly about 1/4’’ and will need to be re-trimmed once or twice until they stabilise. They are very easy to cut with a sharp utility knife. When used as an underbed about a quarter to a half bale of shavings is advisable as a top bed.

Because debris and urine will eventually seep down into the cracks and cause odors, it is advisable to rinse the mats with a solution of cleaner once a month and lift and thoroughly clean the stable floor once every twelve months .
The Mats 4 are available in an easy to handle 3 feet x4 feet and are 7/8’ and weigh 11lbs.

#MAT6 Wall Mat

To gain maximum warmth the M6 wall mats are fabricated from soft expanded EVA with a strong top skin. Their unrivalled insulation properties provide a warm stable in Winter and a cool stable in Summer.
Their thickness ((approximatively 1 inch ) ensures a progressive, effective compression that cushions the impact of a forceful kick with no injury to the horse while their softness eliminates abrasions. They will, however, eventually break down under a persistent barrage of kicking.
Their softness both discourages crib biting and provides a slight grip for a cast horse, usually enough to enable it to roll over. Dirt comes away easily if washed down with warm water. As with all our mats, pressure washing will not harm them.


In addition to use in stables, foaling boxes and recovery units their properties of softness and lightness enhance horse box and trailer sides and partitions. Their warmth and strength are also effective on dog runs and kennel floors.
M6 wall mats are nailed to wood walls with 1 1/2” clout nails or to brick and concrete walls with plugs and screws. Adhesives are not recommended for long term securing of mats.

NOTE: The use of a sealant or adhesive with any mat laid on a stable floor is not advised as there is no known sealant that stands up to the corrosive effects of the ammonia in urine beyond about six months.
