HORSEGUARD The Original Electric Tape Fence System
The kit contains: 1640 ft of tape + 100insulators + 12 tensioners
The kit will allow you to set up a 2 strand paddock with a 820 ft perimeter.
It is calculated for 4 corners, 1 gate (2 gate posts), and 50 line posts.
Neither the posts nor the gate or gate handles are provided
but can be ordered separately.
Install the fence as for our traditional tape fence with 4 Bi-Polar tensioners #9bl at the gate and 2 Bi-Polar tensioners per corner. A FEW FAQ FOR THE BI-POLAR FENCE1 What is the Bi-Polar color code?
Never mix colors.
Green always goes with green and Brown always goes with brown. Green connecting
cable hooks up to the green side of the tape and brown with brown. 2 Is it hard to connect the connecting cables to the Bi-Polar Tape?
Not at all! The hook up is in the tensioner box #9bl. We are providing also little
copper contactor plates to make sure the contact works in case you might encounter
any connecting problem. 3 Will the current make a complete loop with
the Bi-Polar Gate handle?
The Bi-Polar Gate handle is totally insulated, it
will not complete the Circuit but will allow you to
open the pasture easily. With only one gate there
is no need to dig a trench for cabling. However,
with two or more gates a trench and cabling will be
required and you will have to reset the connection
after each gate.
4 Are the insulators for Bi-Polar the same as the ones for Standard Fence?
You can use the same insulators, the corners and gate tensioners are different.
5 Is the Bi-Polar fence more expensive than the traditional fence?
It’s about the same price.
6 Can you use the same fence charger as for my existing tape fence?
Yes you may use the same low impedance charger.
